Background
Many people in Morazán, especially women, suffer from the consequences of personal and historical violence – particularly the civil war – as well as from current experiences of social violence and stress. These stresses often manifest themselves in physical and mental health problems.
SANAR is tackling this challenge. The name says it all, standing for Salud, Apoyo, Non Violencia, Autonomía y Resiliencia – health, support, non-violence, autonomy and resilience.
